Description
RBAC honors longtime Rockville resident and community activist, Carl Henn, with a casual bike ride.
Carl was an avid bicyclist and environmental advocate who died in July 2010 after a lightning strike during a powerful storm. He served as NIH Bicycle Commuter Club president, club cheerleader, club supporter and club conscience. When Carl saw somewhere he could make a difference, he quite literally put his wheels to the road and quietly, and effectively, got things done. As a direct result of Carl’s quiet, effective leadership, we are all living fuller and more fulfilled lives, and the world is a better place to be.
Meet in the upper parking lot of Rockville City Hall for a casual 11-mile ride around the city with a rest stop at a community garden. You must be at least 15 years old to ride. Helmets are required. No one will be left behind on this ride.
